If you adore Dior ..

Little known outside of France, the wonderful Dior Museum is a must for fashion fans, and not a million miles from Lion-sur-Mer.

La Villa ‘des Rhumbs’ was Christian Dior’s childhood home, and is every bit as elegant as Dior style itself.

As well as housing the fabulous museum detailing both the life & work of Christian Dior, it also hosts regular special exhibitions and stylish events throughout the year.

Like the villa, the equally beautiful gardens overlook the cliffs facing the Channel Islands and you can see the Mont St Michel on a clear day.

Central to the garden is the tea room, a romantic vision of 1900s style furniture in rose button pink and cedar green colours, topped with English porcelain decorated with Redouté roses.

With free access, independent of the museum’s entrance, it offers an ideal stopover for walkers, garden lovers and visitors to the museum for a gourmet pause around a cup of tea, a drink and a pastry with names evoking haute couture garments of the Dior house.

You will also find a shop inside the museum, offering a selection of books relating to fashion and Christian Dior as well as postcards, posters, historical fragrances and Dior gifts.

Just don’t tell your husband we told you!
