GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Contract: This Rental Agreement (“the Contract”) is made between Le Gai Séjour (“the Owner”) and the person specified on the Booking Confirmation above (“the Renter”) as of the date of that booking being confirmed.

The Security Deposit: The refundable security deposit (to be paid with the balance) will be refunded within 14-days of the check-out date, provided no deductions are made due to:

  1. Damage or breakages (other than fair wear and tear) caused to the property, furnishings or contents.
  2. Any requirement for excessive cleaning.
  1. The Contract: This contract concerns the rental of the gîte Le Gai Séjour. It is a small house with three bedrooms, bathroom/toilet, kitchen, living room and independent garden.
  2. Duration of the stay: The signatory of this contract, concluded for a fixed period of time, may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises after the end of the stay.
  3. Conclusion of the contract: The reservation becomes effective as soon as the Renter has paid the deposit (or pre-paid online) as well as returned a copy of the contract signed before the date indicated. A second copy is to be kept by the Renter.
  4. Cancellation by the Renter: All cancellations must be notified at the earliest possible date, and must be acknowledged by the owner as accepted or subject to charges (as follows):
  1. To receive a full refund, the renter must cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
  2. If renters cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in, they will be reimbursed 50% of the total.
  3. If renters cancel less than 7 days before check-in, no reimbursement will be possible.
  4. Renters can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.
  1. Cancellation by the owner: The owner will reimburse the renter the totality of any sums paid in advance.
  2. Arrival: The renter must arrive on the day specified in the time slot mentioned on the contract. In case of late or delayed arrival, the tenant must inform the owner.
  3. Payment of the balance: The balance of the rent (and any extras) is payable on arrival.
  4. Cleanliness & Inventory: The cleanliness of the gîte on the tenant’s arrival should be mirrored upon their departure.

The Inventory of house contents acts as a reference point for both renter and owner. If you discover anything is missing, please inform us at the earliest possible moment. Conversely, if we find anything is missing after your departure, you may be held liable for its replacement.

  1. Security deposit: On the Renter’s arrival, a security deposit, the amount of which is indicated on the front of this contract, is requested by the owner. This will be returned, less the cost of repair or replacement of any damage or breakages.
  2. Use of the premises: The Renter must ensure the peaceful nature of the rental and use it in accordance with the House Rules.
  3. Capacity: The present contract is established for a maximum capacity of 6 persons. Infants under 2 years can however share parents’ rooms where the renter provides their own cot.
  4. Pets: Sorry, pets are NOT permitted.
